Membership Requirements
-
Annual membership fee of $35 per family helps defray the cost of space rental, liability insurance and special events.
-
Co-op members agree to earn a minimum of 1 credit per session they attend. Teaching a class earns 1 credit; co-teaching earns 1/2 credit. If teaching makes you nervous at first, you can always earn 1/2 credits by co-teaching -- assisting the main teacher as needed. If you have infants/young siblings with you, and find it difficult to teach in this season of your homeschooling life, don't worry. Just talk to a Board Member, and we will help you find other ways to help out. Please note that new member families are not expected or encouraged to teach or co-teach during their first session at co-op. We want you to just get a sense of who we are as a community and be available for your children should they need help acclimating.
-
Being a cooperative, it is expected that members will help with other activities periodically during the year. For example: helping to set up or tear down tables and chairs for a dance or other event.
-
Keep open communication with the Board: Have questions? Comments? Suggestions? Be ready to let us know how you can help!
